Privacy policy

TOYO CORPORATION (hereinafter referred to as “we/our/us”) has established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the “policy”) regarding the handling of user information, including personal information, for the services provided by us (hereinafter referred to as “our services”).

Article 1 (Personal Information)

Personal Information” means ‘Personal Information’ as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information in Japan (Act No. 57 of 2003, hereinafter referred to as the ‘Personal Information Protection Act’).
"Personal Information” means information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, or other description, etc., or that contains a personal identification code.

(7) To request cooperation for questionnaires, interviews, etc. related to our services, to request participation in various events, or to report the results of such events, etc.
(8) To research and analyze the usage history of our service and use the results to improve and develop our service and to deliver advertisements
(9) To identify users who have violated the Terms of Use or users who attempt to use our service for fraudulent or unjust purposes, and to refuse their use of our service

Article 3 (Management and Protection of Personal Information)

Personal information shall be strictly managed and shall not be disclosed or provided to any third party without the consent of the individual, except in the following cases.
In addition, in consideration of safety, we will prevent and correct risks such as unauthorized access to personal information, loss, destruction, falsification, and leakage of personal information.

(1) When it is necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
(2) Cases in which the provision of personal information is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and in which it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual concerned
(3) When it is necessary to cooperate with national organizations, local public organizations or entities entrusted by those, in performing duties prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the individual's consent may impede the performance of those duties.
(4) When the handling of personal information is outsourced, in whole or in part, within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use in order to facilitate the smooth performance of business operations.

Article 4 (Entrustment of Handling of Personal Information)

We may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use. In such cases, we will thoroughly examine the eligibility of the consignee, stipulate confidentiality obligations in the contract, and exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the consignee.

Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

When a user requests disclosure of his/her personal information in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law, we will disclose the information without delay after confirming that the request is made by the user himself/herself (if the relevant personal information does not exist, we will notify the user). However, this does not apply to cases in which we are not obligated to disclose the information under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations.

Article 6 (Correction and Suspension of Use of Personal Information)

(1) When we receive a request from a user to correct the content of his/her personal information on the grounds that it is untrue, in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law, we will, without delay, conduct the necessary investigation after confirming that the request is made by the user or the person himself/herself, unless special procedures are provided for under other laws or regulations. Based on the results of the investigation, we will correct or suspend the use of the personal information and notify the user to that effect.
(2) If a user requests the suspension or deletion of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as "suspension") on the grounds that the information is being used beyond the scope of the purposes previously disclosed or that it was obtained through fraudulent means, we will promptly conduct the necessary investigation and, based on the results, suspend or delete the use of the personal information and notify the individual accordingly. However, if the suspension of personal information incurs significant costs or if it is otherwise difficult to implement, we will take alternative measures that are necessary to protect the individual's rights and interests.

Article 7 (Procedures for Changing Privacy Policy)

We will review the contents of this policy from time to time and strive to improve it. The contents of this policy may be changed except as otherwise provided in laws and regulations or in this policy. The revised Privacy Policy shall become effective when it is notified to users or posted on our website in a manner prescribed by us.
